  Good old lorem ipsum text has been taking quite a thrashing in the design community lately. But Karen McGrane argues that it's not all bad, particularly when creating a template design.
• Form Design with Sliding Labels
  CSS Karma explores how we might combine the best of in-field labels (illustration) with the best of left-aligned labels (persistence of the label), and arrives at a very interesting demo. I'm not sure if this solution is quite ready for primetime use, but I think it's a step in the right direction.

  The idsgn blog discusses planned obsolescence, industrial design, and the idea that sometimes older things are better. All inspired by the simple straight razor.
