Who We Are

Once upon a time there lived two American boys, Joshua and Seth. They grew up with lots of room to play, trees to climb, and all the tools and materials to build whatever they could imagine. Joshua was often content to sit in the cool shade of his southern home, a giant book of paintings on his lap. Seth took a slightly more cavalier approach to existence and built race cars from prams and bicycles that he raced through piles of New England fall leaves.

Then the boys grew up. They lost their dirty overalls and sawz-alls, lazy afternoons and reckless driving habits.

But they never lost their love for building things.

"About Pages" tend to be pretty boring. To make things more interesting, we've agreed to write descriptions of each other and publish them no matter what.

Joshua Clanton

Josh is one of the most reverently inquisitive people I've ever met. His affinity for microwaved burritos and Mountain Dew form the only exceptions to my observation that he constantly works to understand things at multiple levels. If I were to make fun of Josh for something, it'd be his utter geekiness. Star Trek? Oh, yeah. 1100-page books about imaginary lands inhabited by dragons? Absolutely. He also tends to wear the color brown a lot.

But I don't have to be a Trekkie, like sci-fi, or wear a lot of brown to get along with Josh. I get to be myself. I get to enjoy the results of his intellectual exploration and experimentation because it happens near me. It's hard to grow bored with somebody who is constantly finding new ways to grow and improve (both professionally and personally). If you don't get the chance to work with Josh on something, I highly suggest you at least try to befriend him. When it comes to value-added relationships, Josh is an expert. (He's also really good with a grill... his wife is working to convert him from steak to mushrooms. We'll see about that.)

Seth Simonds

Between writing projects, Seth likes to take long quiet walks along the beach. He's just as crazy as he sounds on Twitter, and is looking for a girlfriend with lots of patience.

Besides that, he's a really good writer. You read my bio, right? Seth's work. He can take things that are ordinarily boring and make them interesting. That's probably because he's so full of interestingness that he just has to share it or he'll explode. He's great to talk to and work through ideas with.

P.S. Know someone who'd be a good match for Seth? Tell me.
